THE CHALLENGE
Design a winter boot worthy of the global stage for the historic debut of Lululemon as the official outfitter of Team Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. The challenge was to create a footwear solution that combined performance and functionality with a design that proudly embodied Canadian identity and innovation.
HOW WE HELPED
We partnered with Lululemon to craft both an opening ceremony and closing ceremony winter boot that seamlessly blended style, warmth, and versatility for the world’s top athletes. Drawing inspiration from the games’ theme of “Joyful Rendezvous upon Pure Ice and Snow,” we created designs that reflected the purity of winter sports while incorporating technical materials for warmth, grip, and durability. The result: a sleek, high-performance boot that stood as a proud symbol of Team Canada’s strength and unity on the Olympic stage.
Our design drew from the fluid curves of the Lululemon logo, crafting intentional lines that evoke movement and flow. Paired with sharp sawtooth edges, the outsole balances bold contrasts and purposeful traction, engineered to perform in all winter conditions and surfaces.
